Starting over

So what do you do when you don't want to finish one of your paintings ?

...
You paint over it and start a new one of course!
First layer down, more progress pictures to come.

I can't really explain why I didn't like the other one as much, but I've had it in that state for months and I just didn't really look forward to finishing it. Starting over seemed the best thing to do. go figure

Another one finished.

This one had a shaky start again, but I like the way it turned out.
I'm getting closer to finding a decent style for this waves series.

All Finished

After a good amount of trial and error I'm finally happy with it. I suppose knowing what I was going for at the start would've helped, but there you go, sometimes you just don't know where you're going and it's best to just let it happen.

Keeping 'em coming

Sky needs to be toned down abit, it looks a bit too "biblical for my taste". Also the foreground could do with a touch up, colors don't really match and there's no real sense of depth yet.

More progress...

Almost there... although I was a bit distracted by a 3 hours surf session last evening :)

A couple of things I'm working on.

I haven't made an update in ages. Some people have asked me if I'm even still painting :).

I've been keeping quiet on the painting side in order to concentrate on my house, but i still have a few commissions and a couple of additional pieces in the works.

Cards

I finally managed to get a few cards sorted. I have already left some in galleries and some shops. Let me know if you want any. I can send them by the unit but batches of 5 would be preferred.

Part I

...and Part II

"Something celtic"

Paul, from Glide surfboard has asked me to come up with a few design ideas for a new logo. The guideline so far has been "something that looks celtic" ...
This one didn't work out for him but I'll try a few more.

Paintings now in Antons

I finaly got some time to bring those paintings to Anton's Gallery on Father Griffin Road in Galway. I'm sad to part with them as I really liked them and tried to hang on to them for as long as I could. I hope they find deserving new owners soon.

First post of 2010

Finished this one last night. Not sure why I'm only paintings waves these days, maybe because I haven't had a chance to surf in almost 2 months... sigh...

New print available

Print available - A mosaic of some of the music/dance paintings I've done over the last few years.

See you monica.

After three years, she's finaly found a buyer... off to France

Warm water... [sigh]

Just finished this last nite. A bit of summer in December ... I feel warmer already

Baaahh...

I love sheep!!
This one's just finished and going to France in a couple of weeks. I don't normally like doing bigger paintings but every now and then it feels good to think big.
