A week ago, I was contacted by someone from the Scoop Foundation to see if' I'd be interested in donating a painting for their fund raising auction in Dublin in September.
I thought about for a while and decided to give two.
The guys at scoop seemed pretty exited at the idea and it looks like I'll be attending the auction too, so now I'm exited too! I'm heading to the Slash concert in Dublin tonight and will hand over the paintings then.
Coming out soon.
I haven't painted one of those in a good while, in fact I've had this one half started in a corner of my room for oover 6 months now. I must say it feels good to get back into it.
It must be psychological, once you get all of the canvas cover with a first layer of paint, you just can't stop anymore.
It just needs a couple more hours and it'll be ready. It should be going into a gallery as soon as it's ready and varnished.
I should get more of them done soon...

Shapping up
Starting over
So what do you do when you don't want to finish one of your paintings ?
...
You paint over it and start a new one of course!
First layer down, more progress pictures to come.
I can't really explain why I didn't like the other one as much, but I've had it in that state for months and I just didn't really look forward to finishing it. Starting over seemed the best thing to do. go figure
